UnHinge:d
Hinge markets itself as ‘designed to be deleted’, but the actual experience of leaving the app is silent and transactional.
This project was created as part of the course Designing the End, which focused on designing what happens after a customer relationship ends. We chose Hinge and created UnHinge:d, a personalized wrap users receive when deleting the app. Inspired by behaviors already happening online, where users summarize and share their dating history themselves, the concept turns the end of the experience into something more intentional and shareable.
One of the main goals was to make the storytelling feel simple and easy to follow, while staying true to Hinge’s existing tone and visual identity.
